ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Susan and Thomas Day are a wife and husband team who have collaborated together to produce this book. Their passion about long term care issues began with their taking care of both sets of their parents. Experiencing the long term care needs of all four parents while raising their own seven children, opened their eyes to the need for preparation and education for both the elderly and their caregivers. Tom spent countless hours researching all aspects of long term care for his website, www.longtermcarelink.net. Susan condensed all that valuable material into the 4 Steps book to create this single-source educational resource and planning guide.

Susan has written numerous articles and short stories for a local newspaper and church magazine. As city historian of North Salt Lake, Utah, she also researched, wrote the first history of that city and contributed to the Utah History Encyclopedia. She is also the President of the National Care Planning Council and runs the day-to-day operations of that organization.

Tom has a 20-year background in retirement planning, financial products and insurance products. Tom is the Director of the National Care Planning Council and is responsible for research, strategic planning and marketing. He has a BA in physics and an MBA from the University of Utah. He also holds the CLU designation from the American College.
