If you are like most people, it’s difficult to think about long-term care, especially when you are healthy and active. Yet now is actually the smart time to start planning for LTC- before you actually need it. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, at least 70% of people over the age of 65 will require some long-term care (LTC) services at some point in their lives. Unfortunately, it is also found that by age 65, most will have a 40% chance of needing Nursing Home Care.
