Margarita Rosa Pazmany-Byro, CLTC.If you are like most people, it’s difficult to think about long-term care, especially when you are healthy and active. Yet now is actually the smart time to start planning for LTC- before you actually need it. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, at least 70% of people over the age of 65 will require some long-term care (LTC) services at some point in their lives. Unfortunately, it is also found that by age 65, most will have a 40% chance of needing Nursing Home Care.

I am Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC), and when I meet with a new prospective client and their family I feel it is very important that they understand Medicare first, then I proceed into Long Term Care, and show all the options that are available to them. I consider Education the most important part of my meeting. The choices are made simple.

As a Long Term Care Specialist I have helped more than 1800 seniors and Baby Boomers in San Diego and the Laguna Hills Area for more than 14 years. Many of my clients have the extra Asset Protection Feature of the California Partnership for Long Term Care, which I am licensed to offer.

Because I have handled hundreds of Claims over these last 14 years, I have an excellent relationship with Home Care Agencies; Hospice; Adult Day Care Facilities (especially for Alzheimer’s); Assisted Living and Bed and Board Facilities; and Nursing Homes. My Clients all have my cell number and can call me whenever they have a need for assistance. I am always there for them.

Many of us have a parent, or both who already needs help, and it is causing them, and us Financial Stress. My goal is to make sure that we don’t have this problem.
