The Law Office of Angela N. Manz

At The Law Office of Angela N. Manz, we focus on elder law, estate planning, Medicaid and Veterans Benefits planning, and other closely related practice areas. In essence, we help people accomplish two main goals: plan for the future, and cope during times of crisis. This can involve helping you retire comfortably; making sure you receive adequate care if you become incapacitated; protecting your hard-earned assets against the high cost of nursing care; planning to leave an inheritance to your loved ones; helping you deal with a Medicaid crisis situation; helping you successfully apply for Veterans benefits; and much more.

We take a highly personal approach to helping you achieve these and other goals by getting to know you personally, listening closely to understand your particular needs and hopes for the future and then creating a plan that addresses every single one of them. Ultimately, we strive to give you the peace of mind that comes with knowing you have a plan in place for the future and a trusted advisor you can turn to in times of crisis.

The Law Office of Angela N. Manz handles a wide range of practice areas, including Medicaid planning, estate planning, asset protection, care management, family conflict resolution, estate administration and probate, and much more. Our goal with respect to elder law is to help seniors remain independent for as long as possible, protect their assets against the high cost of nursing home care, and offer compassionate guidance and sound legal counsel in a crisis situation. You don’t have to spend down all of your income or give up most if not all of your assets. We can put a number of powerful legal tools to work on your behalf to prepare in advance for long-term care or to help when a crisis occurs.

Please contact us to learn how we may be able to help you and your loved ones. We can help give you the peace of mind that comes with knowing you have a trusted advisor and a plan for the future.

 about me

People often ask me why I chose to focus on elder law and estate planning. The main reason I chose these practice areas has to do with my personal experiences growing up. I spent part of my youth living in my grandparents’ home along with my great-grandmother. I saw first-hand the difficulties my grandparents had in finding money to pay for my great grandmother’s care, their frustration with finding a nursing home and applying for Medicaid, and countless other issues.

This, together with helping to care for my grandparents when they themselves became ill, is what drives me to help seniors, their families and individuals plan for the future and cope during times of crisis. I know what my clients are going through, and want to do everything I can as an attorney to assist them. In short, this isn’t just a job to me, it’s personal.

Angela N. Manz is licensed to practice law in Virginia and North Carolina. She is a member of the Elder Law Council of the Virginia State Bar, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and serves on the board of Catholic Charities of Virginia.
