A Good Orderly Direction provides customized senior move services to our elders who are transitioning to either a smaller environment or to an assisted living community.
We do this by carefully evaluating and listening to the senior in what services they need whether it be packing/unpacking, running an estate sale, preparing items for donation or shipping to loved ones, cleaning up the current home in preparation for the sale of the home to setting up the new home.
We are not simply movers, we are skilled at assisting clients with Hearing Loss and Aphasia, Dementia, Alzheimer's as well as Chronic Disorganization and Hoarding.
Whether downsizing to a smaller living environment, moving to an assisted living community or aging in place, we will work one-on-one with you and your family members in a caring and compassionate manner.
client testimonials
"I had an entire closet for only towels and it’s a big closet. I don’t know how I gathered all those towels but I couldn’t throw them away and I’d find a good use for them one day. So Lisa suggested that I donate most of them to the local animal shelter. I had no idea of what a good use those towels would make. I feel good about having the space and reducing the clutter but the kittens were the real winners. A Good Orderly Direction did more for me than just a closet, they de-cluttered my entire house. I feel a great sense of calm." - Rachel - Pembroke Pines, Florida
"My mother just loved working with Lisa. She made a very difficult situation very seamless and painless. On the days that I would visit, I found my mom and Lisa laughing and laughing. My mom is quite the story teller and she apparently told Lisa one of her famous tales. I was so relieved that my mom was in good hands. Thanks, Lisa!" - Saul, Rachel’s son - Sunrise, Florida

aboutme
I’m Lisa Powers, President of A Good Orderly Direction. I’m glad you found me.
For over 20 years I have supported top executives at a number of large companies in Atlanta including CNN. I loved everything about taking care of my executive. From keeping him on task, running errands, maintaining a superior filing system, taking clear and concise notes, to careful listening of just what it was that he needed to help organize his daily work life.
Throughout my career, I acquired a keen sense of time management. Knowing what tasks needed to be tackled first and how much time I had to do them before moving on to the next task. What I hadn’t realized at the time was that I was managing projects from inception to completion and I was doing it quickly and very accurately. I checked over my work, re-checked it and gave it one last pass to make absolutely certain I was happy with the finished project; I paid attention to the smallest detail.
Moving, packing, selling, shipping… it’s a lot to handle and if you’re living far away from your loved ones who have decided to either downsize or right-size their current living arrangements, you’ll need a plan or just a helping hand, that’s where A Good Orderly Direction needs to be taken.
I hope you’ll let me take away the enormous tasks to give you peace of mind
