 about us

Deborah and Jonathan Henderson, owners and operators of Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services throughout Hartford County, Connecticut, currently live in Manchester. Both Jon and Deb have dedicated a lot of time and energy to participating and giving back to their community. It is this sense of dedication that steered them toward joining the Seniors Helping Seniors family.

Deb joins Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services from a 22-year career in the Information Technology business at The Hartford. In addition to her work with older adults, Deb does training and consulting on Microsoft products, ACT!, QuickBooks, Quicken, Infusionsoft, and other computer topics.

Jon, a natural entrepreneur, has run several businesses including a day care center, a copier company, and a tack shop. He has also worked in sales for the corporate world for over 25 years. He currently works for Connecticut Trailers as the Sales Manager.

Deb and Jon are also very active both physically and socially. They love outdoor activities like hiking, biking and kayaking. They are very engaged with their church community. Jon serves as the church moderator; Deb is the church clerk and volunteers as the secretary for the American Baptist Churches of Connecticut. She sings in the Hartford Musical Club vocal ensemble and they both enjoy singing duets together in their church choir whenever they can.

Deb and Jon’s zest for life is a motivating factor in owning Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services. They understand the importance of remaining independent and maintaining a standard of living with which one is happy.

“We joined the Seniors Helping Seniors family because we appreciate the need for seniors to stay in their home with some assistance. We want to give something back to society, especially the generations that raised us, our parents and grandparents,” Deb says. Jon adds, “We appreciate the opportunity to be part of something good and to make a positive difference in the lives of families.”
