Our focus is to keep you or your loved ones at home, where the heart is. We assist our clients in feeling confident and safe, while living in their homes, rather than having to move to secure necessary services.
If your loved one needs assistance bathing and grooming, transportation, errands and shopping done for them; if they need a little help around the house, or a meal prepared, let us help! We lovingly provide that support and will accomplish any task within reason. Don't pay outrageous assisted living fees, when a loved one would be happier at home.
Our caring service makes it possible for the elderly to maintain their dignity with as much independence as possible. We provide the appropriate in-home assistance and companionship to give peace of mind to our clients, their families, and their loved ones.
Our caregivers are Charleston's A list of caregivers. We do extensive background and reference checks, along with provide mandatory on-going training. We pride ourselves on creating a great work environment for our caregivers, and this shows through in the services that they provide for our clients.
You can reach Wendy and Lowcountry Companions at 843-856-2582, or email her directly at wendy@lowcountrycompanions.com. We provide services from as little as 3 hours, 1 time per week, all the way up to 24/7 care.
about Wendy Weisner
Wendy Weisner is owner and operator of Lowcountry Companions Senior Care, a Charleston- based company that provides exceptional care and companionship to seniors throughout the Tri-county area. Wendy’s goal is to provide in-home assisted living, so seniors can maintain the dignified and meaningful life that they deserve. Equally important, she has seen how family time moves from being frantic chore time, to more relaxed quality time when a loved one’s day-to-day needs are being met. Wendy has over 20 years experience in corporate sales, marketing, and management, and is a Certified Senior Advisor. She also received a mayoral appointment and serves on the Town of Mt Pleasant Council on Aging.
Wendy started Lowcountry Companions Senior Care because she believes that older people who remain at home live longer and happier lives when they are surrounded by their memories and belongings. And like her caregivers, she wanted to do something fulfilling and worthwhile. “It’s the best decision that I’ve ever made... this business. The intrinsic reward of making such a positive impact on, not only our client’s, but on the lives of the people that love them is a reward beyond measure. It’s indescribable. Something happens every single day that reinforces what a great decision it really was. I don’t think I’ve ever been told ‘thank you, thank you, thank you’ so much in my entire life… and the best part is that We really love what we do.”
"Everyday it is my mission to build a team that shares the Lowcountry Companions vision and commitment towards the seniors we serve. No other company provides the training or accountability measures that we do. That is why we are second to none. We treat our caregivers like family, and in turn, they do the same for our clients”.
Lowcountry Companions Senior Care is a member of The Senior’s Choice® network, the largest senior care membership in the country; the SC Aging in Place Coalition; and a very proud member of the Lowcountry Senior Network, a networking organization for senior service providers in the Lowcountry. Along with volunteering, Wendy actively speaks to groups and organizations throughout the Lowcountry on topics such as Fall Prevention, Family Caregiving, and Aging in Place Resources. Wendy is in her 40's and lives with her rescued golden retrievers, Toby and Sullivan.
