Monina Maclang-CarlosProfessional Compassionate In-Home Care for Seniors or Convalescing Adults Means Living Independently with Respect, Dignity and Privacy.

Meet the challenge of senior or convalescent care without stress, disruption or scheduling hassles. With a little extra help your loved-ones will be properly cared for with courtesy and professionalism.

When outside help is necessary, caring for an elderly loved-one presents very real challenges. Home is where the heart and memories live. But when an elderly or disabled person needs help, the mention of an outside caregiver is often met with stiff resistance. And rightly so. Decades of independence, the fear of burdening family, friends or the community isn't what anyone wants. Knowing years of independent living are coming to an end is both frightening and depressing.

We want you to know that there is an alternative...

Your loved-one can stay at home, safely.

After a consultation and assessment, we tailor in-home scheduling with you and your family based upon your needs. Scheduling is designed to cause as little disruption to our client's lives as possible.

Your needs determine the type and amount of care. If your family member needs someone to be there to help them start their day, or get them ready for bed, we can do that.

Service schedules include a few hours a day to 24-hour shifts, or live-in care. But it doesn't stop there... we personalize our services to meet your needs.

Some people need just a little assistance with daily living, like:

bathing - safety and help in the bathroom -dressing - difficult to put on items -grooming - hair, skin, nails -meal preparation - help with feeding, ensuring adequate fluid intake -light housekeeping - dusting, vacuuming, laundry, linens, dishes -medication reminders - keep on track with daily meds -appointment escorts - getting to those appointments on time, safely -companionship - hobbies, crafts, games, or just a friendly ear -respite care - when the family caregiver needs a break, is ill, or has other commitments, our professional caregiver can pitch in -safe assistance for persons with confusion, disorientation, and mental health issues.

Often families are separated by distance, work, and a multitude of activities. Every day more families find themselves sandwiched between raising their own children and caring for parents or a disabled individual. Even in ideal circumstances outside help is the only viable option.

But you're never stuck with a single option. We can accommodate visits as brief as 1 1/2 hour, or as long as 24-hour care. Additionally, we provide:

  • Couple Care (for both parents)
  • Respite Care (we can step in when the primary caregiver isn't available)
  • Hospice Care (we'll still be available to your loved-one at the end of life)
  • Hospital Sitters (we'll help when your loved-one needs extra attention)

Never worry, our charges are variable, they depend on the type of service, and when and where it's provided. Costs are discussed and determined prior to beginning of care. We'll respond to all of your questions and provide additional information about our services.

Most people prefer to stay in their homes with their possessions, memories and independence. At CareResource we know how important this is.

 about me

Helen Maclang, our founder comes from a remarkable heritage of caregiving that's synonymous with affection, compassion and love. Being partially disabled herself, she too needs the occasional help but wants to keep her independence and privacy. Aging and living with a disability gives her the ability to know how others feel, what their needs and desires are.

This sense of caring is what CareResource is known for... kindness, connection with our clients, and professionalism, courteous service.

We select caregivers who are highly personable, skilled, flexible in attitude and abilities, friendly and display a high degree of professionalism.

Our clients' safety, comfort and peace of mind are all important to CareResource. We realize that an individual who needs care is vulnerable. To give you further protection and lessen the risks to you or your loved-one:

-Our employees are carefully screened, including complete background checks -All caregivers are hired as employees, not independent contractors -We pay for workmens compensation insurance -All caregivers are fully licensed and bonded -We fulfill all legal requirements, including immigration requirements, payment of withholding taxes and reporting information to local, state and federal government agencies

The above requirements protect our clients, respect their properties and persons, and keep our clients safe in their homes.

But perhaps the most important thing we do is carefully match client to caregiver. In this way we can assure each client receives the maximum benefit through our staff. Our caregivers are managed, supervised, and carefully instructed on how best to work with each client.

Our caregivers come from diverse backgrounds, each with the values and cultures we share. Our caregivers are committed to our clients' safety, care and warm yet professional relationships.

Management is always available to you. We're confident in our caregivers and our services. Because of this foundation, we confidently say at CareResource our emphasis is on creating an independent lifestyle - at home.
