Donald S. Hecht is an attorney with over 35 years experience in the areas of Trust, Estate, Medicaid, Financial, Disability, and Health Care Planning for the elderly, persons with disabilities, and their families. He lives on Long Island and has an office in Garden City.
Mr. Hecht is a lecturer under the sponsorship of the Nassau County Bar Association and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is also an active member of the Elder Law, Disability and Trusts and Estates Committees of the American, New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau Board, and a member of the Professional Advisory Council and a former First Vice President and Director of the Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island. Mr. Hecht is also a law columnist for “Able Newspaper for the Disabled;” a contributing author of a text for attorneys on Guardianship of the Disabled; and, a former Graduate School Law Professor.
