Stars Adult Day Program
One of the biggest issues facing 24-hour caregivers is finding time to take care of themselves. STARS gives caregivers a chance for respite while ensuring their loved ones get a chance to participate in a safe, fun and nurturing environment. Trained staff provides engaging activities, snack/lunch and personal care. The participant-to-staff ratio is kept low to provide the highest quality of care possible.
Seniors and other adults in need of supervised care can enjoy a friendly, safe, and nurturing environment. STARS respects the individual participant's needs and promotes independence and self-esteem, while providing respite to caregivers and family.
The goal of the STARS program is to maintain and if possible, improve the physical, mental and emotional well being of the participants through a structured program of therapeutic activities. STARS Adult Day Care is a program of Senior Services for South Sound.
Services include mild exercise, music, crafts, entertainment, discussion groups and special events. Lunch and snacks are provided. There is also access to transportation to/from the program and basic health and nutrition monitoring.
