Louie J. Frucci, RN, CSA is the owner of Comfort Keepers in Ogden, Utah, serving Weber and Davis counties. Comfort Keepers provides in-home, non-medical and personal care for seniors who wish to remain in the comfort and privacy of their own home. Services include light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, shopping, laundry and companionship. Being licensed in personal care, Comfort Keepers can also provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Louie has been a registered nurse and physician assistant for 30 years and is also a Certified Senior Advisor. Most of his nursing and medical experience has been in the regulatory, program management and insurance fields. He worked for several years as a Health Program Surveyor with the Utah Department of Health where he surveyed hospitals, home health agencies and nursing homes for compliance with State and Federal regulations. He was also with IHC Health Plans (now called Select Health) for eleven years where he worked in Utilization Management, Case Management, and Quality Assurance. He later became the Northern Utah regional manager for Utilization Management and Case Management until he left to start Comfort Keepers. In January of 2001, he opened Northern Utah's first in-home, non-medical and personal care agency.
His many years working in a variety of healthcare areas has given him the experience and knowledge to determine the best and safest environment for seniors, whether it be at home with Comfort Keepers or in a more structured setting. Through his free client assessments he works with seniors and families to assure that they receive appropriate, adequate and timely services.
