36.3 MILLION

The Administration on Aging reported this number of people 65 and older in the United States on July 1, 2004. This age group accounted for 12 percent of the total population. Between 2003 and 2004, the size of this age group increased by 351,000 people.

  MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

David Whiteside CLTC, LTCP, has a unique, non-traditional insurance & mortgage practice specializing in Long Term Care financing and other senior concerns. He has offered low-key, unhurried advice on insurance and financial issues for over 16 years.

A completely independent broker, David offers access to hundreds of companies, products and programs. This allows him to offer creative, "outside the box" solutions to each client's unique needs.

David's primary goal is to help people find the least expensive way to fund Long Term Care needs. This ranges from a thorough search for the best traditional LTC policy, perhaps financed using a Reverse Mortgage, all the way to exotic combinations of LTC, life insurance, mortgages and appropriate annuities.

David also enjoys helping seniors work through the complexities of Medicare Supplement insurance, including the new jungle of information on Medicare Part D and related prescription plans.

David never hesitates to suggest "no change" if sound preparations are
already made; and he can provide any amount of supplementary insurance or financing to existing strategies as needed.
