Advocating for Veterans: Understanding Claims, Awards, and Long-Term Issues

A 3-Hour Course that Goes Beyond the Basics

This Continuing Legal Education (CLE) course, created in August 2025, is approved by the Florida state bar association and meets qualification requirements under 38 C.F.R. § 14.629 through 2026 for agents and attorneys. It fulfills:

  • Initial first-year 3-hour CLE requirements, or
  • Any ongoing 3-hour CLE requirement on veterans law and procedure (every two years thereafter).

Why This CLE is Different

Most VA CLE courses provide theory. This one provides practice.

Our unique, hands-on approach takes you through the entire claims process from start to finish - ensuring you can confidently serve veterans with real-world strategies that work.

You'll learn how to:

  • Build Fully Developed Claims (FDCs) from the ground up
  • Determine which types of claims to pursue - leaving no stone unturned while staying efficient
  • Navigate tough conversations with veterans and prepare them for C&P exams
  • Tackle complex cases, including Debt Waivers, Medical Expense Reports, Fiduciary Set Up, PTSD, toxic exposures, and secondary conditions
  • Develop a practical framework that saves time and improves outcomes

The course also will cover representation before VA, claims procedures, basic eligibility for VA benefits, right to appeal, disability compensation (38 U.S.C. Chapter 11), dependency and indemnity compensation (38 U.S.C. Chapter 13), and pension (38 U.S.C. Chapter 15).

October 24, 1-4 PM MST - Virtual & Recorded

You will receive three hours of credit and a certificate of completion which you can submit to VA's Office of General Counsel. The course will be recorded and available on demand.
