About Us

With over 20 years of healthcare experience and over 35 years of financial and real estate experience the Senior Care Authority Team of San Diego will help make it easier for you to make an informed decision. This team has spent valuable time in understanding all of the senior resources and living options in San Diego County – including assisted living, independent living, memory care, and residential care homes. They are hands-on and welcome the one-on-one interactions with clients and families to assess their needs and to accompany them on tours. Their professional backgrounds lend valuable insights on assisting with negotiations, paperwork and move-in process, ensuring that the transition progress is organized and smooth. Being local and present in their clients' communities allows them to follow-up with their clients even after the placement is made.

Shanell has been a part of the senior living and healthcare community since 2012. She is a native San Diegan who started her career as a caregiver and administrative assistant at a licensed 6-bed residential care home. She then became the lead medication technician to a 30-bed memory care community, after which she joined the Senior Care Authority team in 2017. Her interest in caring for seniors began at a young age when she cared for her grandmother at home, during which time she became fluent in Tagalog. Shanell's experiences, coupled with her education in Nursing and Sociology, equips her with the broad knowledge of senior living and care options available to families and their aging loved ones.

Harp has a background in family business and over 14 years of experience in business and sales. After having gone through the complex process of navigating aging and care challenges for her own grandmother, Harp is passionate about empowering families in making informed decisions through similarly difficult and vulnerable times. Her family oriented background lends to her natural ability to create strong relationships and act as a professional advocate for her clients- as if they were family of her own. Harp has a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Caselle Reinke has worked in the healthcare community in San Diego County since 2007. Before joining Senior Care Authority in 2016, she served as the Business Administrator of a 32-bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly where she managed daily operations, recruited and trained care staff, and internally audited operating protocols to meet state regulatory requirements. As a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Caselle specializes in memory care needs and high acuity services. Through her direct care experiences with seniors, their families, and her education, she offers her clients a 360 degree perspective to aging transitions and care planning. Caselle earned her Associate Degree in Biology from San Diego Mesa College and a Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at San Diego State University.

Client Testimonials

I recently used the services of Senior Care Authority in San Diego to assist me in finding senior placement for my aunt. They did an amazing job in a loving and caring manner. Being from out of town and not familiar with all the placement options, Senior Care Authority met with me and my aunt to determine options and then arranged tours and explained the pros and cons of different facilities. After choosing placement, they met with my aunt to ensure that her transition was going smoothly. I highly recommend this service. Thank you!

I had the pleasure of working with Senior Care Authority to find a home for my brother. I felt they went above and beyond to find Frank a good home, which they did. They were very efficient and were in constant communication with me…complete professionals who put my brother's needs first. I highly recommend Senior Care Authority if you need assistance with a loved one.

Thank you again for everything you did for us. Your expertise was so appreciated but your genuine kindness was unexpected and we were blessed to meet you.

Irene F. (Chula Vista, CA)

The San Diego team assisted us in the whole transition from facility selection to temporary home health care options, home sales options, and VA benefit assistance. The entire operation was professional, supportive and efficient in meeting our needs. I can highly recommend the entire team at Senior Care Authority to anyone facing a home-to-assisted living transition.

I had the recent pleasure of working with Senior Care Authority, and give them my highest recommendation. I contacted SCA, and within a few hours, they had 5 - 6 tours set up for us. Everything about the service they provided was invaluable. It's a confusing time for my mom, and SCA understands the process and what both the new residents and kids of the resident are going through. They listened to our concerns, and presented multiple options that would work for us. There was no charge for SCA's services, so I can't imagine why someone would do this process alone if they knew that SCA is an option.
