Client Testimonials:

Initially, I was very reluctant to use a third party caregiver agency; I actually thought that I was capable of providing all of the care-giving that my wife needed. I was wrong! Comfort Makers is local to me in St. Helens and I prefer it that way. After the first couple of weeks, I found that the stress I was feeling had decreased and my wife was comfortable with the caregivers. I need to add some compliments to a couple of the caregivers, Tawnya and Katie. Both of these women are very professional and good at what they do. Please continue your good work I have no reservations with leaving my wife under the care of Comfort Makers and I recommend them. - Larry

When an insurance company decision resulted in my sister being discharged from a rehab facility 3 weeks before her therapists felt she was ready, Comfort Makers saved us! She came home before she was OKed to walk independently with her walker or use her toilet and shower. As a burned out caregiver with health problems of my own there was no way I could have handled sponge baths, bedside commodes, and the rest of her care all on my own. Katie responded promptly. She and a very compassionate nurse did a thorough assessment on our first day home and care started the next day. My sister does not always adjust easily to change, but every caregiver she had was so friendly and caring that she liked them all. And they were all so efficient! My sister and I were amazed at how much they accomplished in the two hours per day they were with her. Those two hours gave me a much-needed respite to go home and catch up on my own life a little. A silver lining to the month I spent at my sister's with Comfort Makers there to help was that it gave me an opportunity to get every inch of her apartment cleaned and organized, something I had lost control of over the years as we careened from one health crisis to the next. The magnitude of the task overwhelmed me when I faced it alone, but it turned out that several of the Comfort Maker caregivers were great organizers. With their help, my sister, her cat, and her apartment were all very well-cared for. - Ardis

If I could give Katie 100 gold stars, I would! Initially hired for a few days of after care for a relatively common, yet major surgery- she just rolled with the punches as they came. A few over nights, some very scary moments, a hospital stay , and 3 + weeks of check in's - this lady is worth every penny. Makes herself available 24 hours a day, provides care that is above and beyond what is required, also - so easy to be around, which is amazing in high stress situations. When I had to finally leave town I felt completely comfortable knowing that Katie could handle a stubborn patient and would continue her amazing level of care. - Jamie
