We are designed exclusively for individuals who struggle with independently completing activities of daily living for various reasons, including but not limited to illness, disease processes, disability, or just the rigors of aging. In addition, we provide professional care coordination and long-distance family caregiver support to help alleviate the stress on busy, hardworking family members responsible for caring for their loved ones and wish to provide the life-enhancing care their loved one’s desire and deserve. SHEMA Elder Caregiving of New Jersey brings geriatric wellness, chronic illness care, and supportive assisted living services wherever our clients call home.
ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Our founder, president, and CEO is a good neighbor, sister, daughter, mother, family, caregiver, registered nurse, educator, and professor of nursing who has combined her own personal and professional experiences into a unique service that brings SHEMA to the greatest art of love that's she calls caregiving. SHEMA is an ancient expression that means to hear, listen, heed, and do. SHEMA is not only our company's name; it's our commitment to you and your family. We are committed to helping you reach and maintain optimal physical and emotional health, wellness, and independence as much as possible without needing to move from your home.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to transform you or your loved ones into a state of physical, mental, and emotional wellness by providing health education, expert caregivers, care coordination services, transitional care, and family support that peels away your stress and worry. We aim to remove the need to move into a nursing home and unnecessary hospital admissions.
